PERFORMANCE OF LETTUCE CULTIVARS UNDER PUNE (INDIA) CONDITIONS

Abstract

Lettuce is an important salad vegetable crop with good nutritive value. Among the head and leafy type cultivars of lettuce under study, the cultivar Ice Berg for head type and Chinese Yellow for leafy type appears to be ideal for getting higher yield with good quality leaf yield along with highest net monetary returns under tropical conditions and need to be recommended for large scale cultivation.
