OCCURRENCE OF ENDOPHYTIC BACTERIA IN ALGAEGANESH IYER, SEEMA MENON, YOGESH PAWAR, SAMRUDDHA PHADNIS AND YASH GUPTEAbstract Presence of endophytic bacteria and fungus in plants has already been demonstrated in many research papers. Endophytic bacteria with many symbiotic associations are identified. Algae are considered to be one of the most primitive genera among the autotrophic organisms. Very few examples of endophytic bacteria in algae have been reported. In the current study occurrence of endophytes in Spirogyra Link and Oedogonium has been seen.
