ANALYSIS OF CONCENTRATION HOMOLOGY AMONG THE CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF EXOPOLYSACCHARIDES PRODUCED BY DIFFERENT RHIZOBIAL STRAINS

RAGHAVENDRA JOSH, B. NARAYANSWAMY AND H.K. BASAVARAJW

Abstract

In the following study, we have analyzed the chemical composition of exopolysaccharides Produced by different rhizobial strains that infect three different crops viz groundnut, cowpea, chickpea, the results indicate that there is not much homology between the concentration of different constituents of exopolysaccharedes produced by these rhizobia. There.was no definite value of the concentrations of various constituents in exopolysaccharides of different rhizobia. The exopolysaccharides have more structural role than a recognised role in rhizobizl-legume sybiosis
