COLLECTION OF ORYZA RUFIPOGON GRIFF. FROM ORISSA AND NEED FOR ITS CONSERVATIONH.N. SUBUDHI AND P.K. NAYAKAbstract This paper deals with collection of Oryza rufipogon Griff. from different localities of Orissa. About 15 accessions have been collected identified and deposited. Ecology, phenology, short diagnostic characters, origin and diversity have been highlighted. Resistance/tolerance characters and in-situ visa-vis, ex-situ conservation have also been dealt with in detail.
