In the present study meristem culture samples of different casswa varieties were indexed for the absence or presence of the virus. Seven varieties of cassava were established M the present study. While performing IC. SC and PC-PCR meristem cultured samples of H-165 showed amplification together with the ICN IV infected cassava field samples. But meristem cultured samples of Sree prakaskhand H-226 showed no amplification indicating the absence of the virus.
