VERMICULTURE OF ELIDRI LUIS ELIGENIAE AND EISENIA FETIDA IN DIFFERENT ORGANIC WASTESM.R. RAJAN AND M. SENTHAMIL CHELVIAbstract The present study deals with the vermiculture of Eudrilus eugeniae and Eisenia feticla in different organic wastes for a period of 40 days. Five experimental vermibeds were prepared by using different organic wastes such as black gram husk, red gram husk, pressmud, goat droppings and cow dung. Among the different organic wastes the biomass of E.eugeniae and E.feticla were higher in black gram husk and red gram husk respectively.
