CYTOCHEMICAL ALTERATIONS IN TESTICULAR PROTEINS IN EXPERIMENTAL FLUOROSIS

A. SHASHI, SUKHJIT GREWAL AND MONIKA BHARDWAJ

Abstract

Cytotoxic effect of fluoride on rat testicular proteins was studied. Fifty five, two to three month old albino rats were administered 30, 45 and 75 mg NaF kg-' body weight day for 30 days. The animals were sacrificed at the end of 6,7,9,15,17,19 and 30 days. The testicular protein level goes on decreasing in all experimental phases. In the third phase of experiment the rats treated with 30, 45 and 75 mg NaF for 30 days have less amount of protein due to increase in proteolysis. The testicular protein level in fluoride affect of rats decrease as the dose of fluoride was increased.
