GODAVARI RIVER WATER POLLUTION DUE TO THE INDUSTRIAL EFFLUENTS FROM 11,1.D.C. NANDED, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA

Abstract

The present investigation deals with the study of COD content of Godavari river water due to impact of MIDC effluents. The water is abundantly used for domestic agricultural and recreational purposes. The investigations were carried out for the period of two years during February 1998- Jan. 2000.COD values in the river on many occasions were above 100 mg/L indicating a very high degree of pollution.
