Abstract

In a post-harvest study of sweet orange fruits, the treatments Carbendazim 0.1%, Benomyl 0.06%, Thiophanate Methyl 0.05% and wax emulsion 9% were used. Treated fruits were kept in 300 gauge LDPE bags having 0.6% vents and stored under ambient conditions for 4 weeks. Fruits treated with Thiophanate Methyl 0.05% + wax emulsion 9% showed minimum loss in physiological weight (10.80%), percentage of rotting (0.79%) and TSS content of fruits for 28 days as compared to rest of the treatments under ambient conditions.
