SEASONAL VARIATION OF PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PARAMETERS OF BYRAMANGALA LAKE, BANGALORE DISTRICT, KARNATAKAH. Krishna Ram and M. Ramachnadra MohanAbstract Physico-chemical characteristics of water samples from Byramangala lake, were analyzed for a period of one year from Jan.2003 to Dec. 2003. Spatial and temporal variations were evident in all parameters investigated comparatively higher values of BOD, COD and low D.O. levels were observed during premonsoon (Summer) suggesting strong indication of contamination by organic matter and sewage effluents.
