COMPARATIVE ANATOMICAL STUDY OF ROOT AND STEM WOOD OF ANGIOSPERMS

Abstract

The present study deals with the comparative anatomy of root wood and stem wood of I I angiosperm tree species. The number of vessels per unit area in root wood is less than the stem wood, while the amount of parenchyma is higher in root wood than in stem wood.
