SYSTEMATICS AND SEASONA DISTRIBUTION OF DIATOMS IN PARK LAKE, RAISHAHI3 BANGLADESH

Abstract

19 genera with 64 species of diatoms have been described. Gomphonema (11 species) was found to be dominant followed by Pinnularia (10 species), Cymbella, (8 species), Eunotia and Synedra (5 species each), Navicula (4 species), Rho palodia and Fragilaria (3 species each), Amphora, Achnanthes, Nitzschia and Epithema (2 species each). Each of Diatoma, Cocconeis, Caloneis, Neidium, Frustulia, Surirella and lviastogloia had a single species.
