EFFECT OF SEED SOAKING HI NITROGEN, PHOSPHOROUS, POTASSIUM AND BOTON ON GROWTH YIELD OF GARDEN PEA (PISUM SATIVUM L)

Abstract

A Field experiment was conducted at Department of Horticulture, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi during season 1998 and 2000 in sandy loam soil with 0.5 percent and 1.0 percent concentration of Urea, SSP, MOP and Borax were used for seed treatment along with basal dose of Nitrogen 30 kg/ha., Phosphorous 50 kg/ha., and Potassium 50 kg/ha. in randomized block design with three replication using pea cv. Azad pea -1. Among the various treatments N-0.5% and B-0.5% resulted better in maximum plant height, early germination, days in 50% flowering and fruiting and pod yield per hectare.
