HISTOLOGICAL ALTERATIONS IN TADPOLES OF BUFO MELANOSTICTUS EXPOSED TO A SUBLETHAL CONCENTRATION OF CHROMIUMD. Anusuya and I. ChristyAbstract Effect of sublethal concentration of heavy metal chromium (0.2 ppm) on tadpoles of Bulb tnelanostictus was studied. Results reveal extensive histological abnormalities in the internal gills, intenstine, liver and eye of tadpoles exposed to chromium, in contrast to that of control tadpoles, showing the severity of chromium toxicity.
