A PRELIMINARY STUDY ON HEAVY METAL POLLUTION IN RIVER BHADRA NEAR BHADRAVATHI TOWN, KARNATAKA

Abstract

In the present study the water samples from downstream of Bhadravathi Town, Karanataka, India were collected and analysed for heavy metal composition. The results of the analysis reveals that the water contains the traces of heavy metal like chromium, molybdenum and nickel. Iron, Manganese, and silicon contents were above the permissible limits.
