SEASONAL TRENDS IN ABIOTIC FACTORS OF A LENTIC HABITAT (GOVINDGARH LAKE) REWA, M.P., INDIA

Abstract

Abiotic factors make up to basic environmental structure. Each of these factors as their units act singly or in syncronized manner, exert significant influence upon the aquatic life. Now-a-days increased human population and industrial development has put tremendous pressure on the limited fresh water resources.The district Rewa (M.P.) has many lotic and lentic habitat.The Govindgarh lake is the main source of drinking water in the summer season.The study of water quality shows that this lake is gradually stepping up towards pollution.
