A STUDY ON PHYSICO-CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF WATER FROM RIGHT CANAL OF HATNUR RESERVOIR OF JALGAON, MAHARASHTRA STATES.I. Rajput, G.P. Waghulade and S.P. ZambareAbstract Present investigation attempts to study the quality of Hatnur canal (right) water to evaluate it's suitability for drinking purpose and irrigation. The parameter's studied includes Temperature. Electrical conductivity, Total Alkalinity, Total Hardness, Calcium, Magnesium, Chloride, Free CO2, pH etc.The study was carried out in each season for two consecutive years. The range of pH was found to be 8.1 to 9.05 which indicates that the water is alkaline. Other parameters are in the normal range but show variations drastically with the change in season. Detail variation in the change of values of parameters and possible causes are discussed.
