MANGROVE VEGETATION OF KRISHNA ESTUARY OF ANDHRA PRADESHA.V. Shashikala, J. Chapla, Nirmala Babu Rao and P Jetendar Kumar NaikAbstract The present study reports mangrove vegetation of Krishna estuary of Andhra Pradesh, India.The percentage figures under various mangrove swamps were found to be mangrove swamps stablized 13.75%, mangrove scrubby swamps 6.94%, marshy mud flats 54.74%, brackish water/sea water 19.34% and sand (coastal) 5.23%.
