BIO FUEL PRODUCTION FROM COTTON SEED OILJ.Thamari Selvi and Remya RajanAbstract Biodiesel, an alternative diesel fuel is derived from the vegetable oils. In this work cotton seed oil is used for transesterification process. Biofuel is obtained by reacting the oils with an alcohol (transesterification) in the presence of alkali catalyst to give the corresponding mono alkyl esters. The Physical, chemical and fuel properties of cotton seed oils were investigated in this work.
