DEFORESTATION EFFECTS ON TERRESTRIAL VEGETATION IN THE DISTRICT OF GOALPARA ASSAM (INDIA)

Abstract

In recent years there has been a la-ge scale deforestation due to population pressure, in the district of Goalpara, the western most part of Assam. As a result of deforestation and erection of habitat site in these cleared areas, considerable deforestation has resulted in interfering Environmental Parameter which was found to effect on terrestrial vegetation.
