POLLUTION STATUS OF RIVER PURNA AT NAVSARI - PHYSICO- CHEMICAL CHARACTERSH.F. MOGAL AND P.B. DESAIAbstract Pollution monitoring of the river puma was carried out by analysing physico-chemical parameters for one year. Three sampling stations were selected and the water samples were analysed bimonthly. Change in colour, higher values in EC and BOD (at station I only) indicated higher pollution load and non-potability of the water.
