EFFECT OF SILKMOTH (BOMBY X MORI. L) SCALES IN HAEMATO- LOGICAL VALUES OF SERICULTURE GRAINAGE INDUSTRY WORKERS IN ANDHRA PRADESH - INDIA

Abstract

A differential White blood cell count revealed that the neutrophil number was increased and the monocyte decreased in the Silkmoth scales inhaled workers during active phase of illness. T cell proliferation in response to mitrogen challenge was also investigated in affected workers. This was found to be significantly reduced during active phase of illness and remain reduced following their recovery.
