AHMADI-GOLSEPHIDIAbstract Total and inorganic concentrations of mercury have been determined in blood samples which were collected from the pregnant women who were unexposed to mercury except from diet and air. Some experiments were preformed checking out two different extraction methods for the determination of total and inorganic mercury. A cold vapour atomic absorption technique based on amalgamation method for pre-concentration was developed for the determination of ultra-trace mercury.
