EFFECTIVENESS OF RICE HUSK CARBON FOR THE REMOVAL OF COLOURV.K. VERMA AND A.K. MISHRAAbstract Rice husk carbon (RHC) has been prepared from a rice husk treated with 50% H3P0, and Carbonised at 300°C. Its adsorption capacity has been tested for the decolourization of wastewater containing methylene blue. The process parameters such as initial concentration, time of contact, adsorption dosages and pH are investigated.
