AIR BORNE POLLEN SURVEY IN TIRUCHIRAPPALL1, DISTRICT, INDIA

Abstract

The pollen is a fine, more commonly golden yellow coloured dust and less frequently it may be orange, black and greenish white in colour, which adheres to any object that comes in contact with it. The pollen which gives a powdery appearance and tiny little particle which plays an vital role in many other disciplines. A survey of the air borne pollen was taken up in the entire Tiruchirappalli District which is about 200 acres in area, for a period of six months, pollen differing in size, shape and number of apertures were identified.
