JACOB DOSSAbstract The present study demonstrated that the alterations of cholinergic aspects in different brain regions of wistar strain albino rats during the development of behavior of tolerance to organophosphorus compound, chlorpyrifos toxicity. After the administration of chlorpyrifos (20 mg/kg body weight) as single, double and multiple doses with an interval of 48 hrs, even though the animals were behaviorally tolerated, the cholinergic aspects such as AChE, BuChE were not recovered towards controls.
