DUTTAAbstract The effect of galvanizing industry effluent on the muscle lipid content of Heteropneustes fossilis was studied. The fish was treated for a period of 90 days in sublethal concentration of galvanizing industry effluent. Significant decline in muscle lipid content was observed due to pollution stress caused by the effluent.
