KavithaAbstract Microorganisms have become increasingly important as producers of industrial enzymes, pigments, steroids and antibiotics. Amylolytic enzymes are one of the most important enzymes in current biotechnological- based food, detergent, and pharmaceutical industries. The objective of the work is to isolate and identify a bacterial strain from the soil sample of paddy field, which can produce amylase with desired characteristic that can be used in industrial sectors.
