EFFECT OF VERMICOMPOST ON THE GROWTH OF 15-DAYS OLD SEEDLINGS OF PHASEOLUS MUNGO LINN.B.S. MaliAbstract Phaseolus mungo Linn. was grown in plastic pots for 15 days. The plants were grown in sole soil (control) and soil, vermicompost in ratios 1:2, 1:3, 1:4 during 2010. The results showed that increased amounts of vermicompost in culture media (soil) enhanced the root, shoot length and leaf area. Thus, the studies on effect of vermicompost on the growth of Phaseolus mungo Linn. showed addition of amount of vermicompost is directly responsible to increase in the growth of plant.
