The variety exhibited 17.90, 17.16, and 18.50 per cent higher yield over the checks in station, state and adaptive trials, respectively. It showed excellent milling (71.69%), head rice recovery (63.71 %), intermediate Amylose content (23.52) and ASV (4.0) with translucent grains and excellent cooking qualities. It has been observed moderately resistant to neck blast, bacterial blight and resistant to leaf blast. Also it has shown resistance to BPH and WBPH and moderately resistant stem borer with an average yield of 4.5 to 5.0 t/ha.
