VARATHARAJAbstract Contract broiler poultry farming is one of the fast booming in agricultural sector, especially in Coimbatore, Erode and Salem Districts( Namakkal is for layer farming). The main aim of the researcher is to find out the factors which influence the rural farmers to move towards the contract broiler poultry farming in Coimbatore District. Here the researcher had taken 100 samples by convenience sampling method with structured interviews taken only from contract growers in Coimbatore district. Poverty alleviation leads to environmental protection.
