NON-CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT OF LEUCINODES ORBONALIS GUEN

Abstract

A field study was conducted during kharif 2012 to evaluate different non-chemical treatments for control of brinjal shoot and fruit borer (L. orbonalis Guen.). The results revealed that neem oil 0.5% recorded lowest shoot damage (7.77%) and fruit damage (9.62% & 9.24%, number and weight basis, respectively) with highest marketable yield (402.80 q/ha) followed by treatments, infested shoot and fruit pruning at weekly interval, application of NSKE 5%. The highest incremental cost benefit ratio (ICBR) was observed in neem oil 0.5%.
