Harish Thakare, V. Kumar, Vishal Ghadage and A. V. Narwade

Abstract

Correlation analysis have been worked out for fifteen (15) characters in three (3) different inter and intra specific cotton hybrids at Main Cotton Research Station, Surat, Gujarat. The correlation coefficient analysis indicated that in physiological parameters i.e., leaf area index (LAI), photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate, dry matter index (DMI) with yield attributing characters such as number of bolls plant-1, boll weight, number of sympodia should be considered as an selection indices for seed cotton yield plant-1 improvement.
