PHYSICO-CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF BISALPUR RESERVOIR, RAJASTHAN (INDIA)

Abstract

In recent years inland fisheries sector has emerged out as one of the fastest growing food production system in the country. Present study deals with physico-chemical parameters like depth, free CO2, total alkalinity and DO of Bisalpur reservoir. Result shows that water temperature ranged from 20 to 30 oC is suitable range for fish production, 7 ppm dissolved oxygen is suitable for ample production in a water body while CO2 concentration has been suggested as 5.0 to 22.0 ppm.
