Abstract

In vitro evaluation of new fungicidal molecule i.e. Team, Penflufen + Trifloxystrobin, Adexar, Bumper, Corboxin + Thiram, Contaf and BAS 480 26F showed complete inhibition in mycelial growth of Rhizoctonia solani Sclerotial formation at 100 ppm concentration against Rhizoctonia solani. Adexar, Corboxin + Thiram and BAS 480 26F were also inhibited inmycelial growth of Rhizoctonia solani at 50 ppm concentration. Among fungicides, bioagent and plant leaf extracts tested by blotter paper method, maximum germination (100%) was recorded when seeds were treated with Contaf, Bumper, Penflufen + Trifloxystrobin Corboxin + Thiram and Adexar in comparison to control (86.00%). Minimum mortality after germination (0.00%) was recorded in Bumper, Corboxin + Thiram and Adexar over control (0.8%). Maximum root length (10.04 cm) was recorded in Corboxin + Thiram treatment. The two species of fungi such as, Aspergillus flavus and A. niger were found associated with the seeds of groundnut and ranged from 0-25. None of the associated seed mycoflora was found in Contaf, Bumper, Penflufen+ Trifloxystrobin, and Adexar treatment. In pot experiments, highest germination (96.66 %) was recorded in seed treated with Penflufen + Trifloxystrobin followed by contaf (93.33%), bumper (93.33%), and adexar (93.33%) against web blight disease.
