CARBON SEQUESTRATION POTENTIAL OF SOME FRUIT TREES IN SATARA DISTRICT OF MAHARASHTRA, INDIA

Abstract

An investigation was undertaken to study carbon sequestration potential of some fruit trees in satara district of Maharashtra in India during 2011-2012. Locally grown fruit trees were selected for estimation of carbon according to age. Coconut had the maximum total biomass and carbon sequestration among all the other trees.
