Abstract

An investigation entitled “Effect of pre and post blossoming spray of GA3, NAA and Ethrel on flowering, fruiting and yield of cashew cv. Vengurla-4 grown under South Gujarat conditions” was carried out during 2013-2014 in Randomized Block Design at Navsari Agricultural University. Cashew trees of cv. Vengurla- 4 at Subhir and Chikhalda locations in South Gujarat were sprayed with GA3 (50, 75, 100 ppm), Ethrel (10, 30, 50 ppm) and NAA (50, 75, 100 ppm) 20 days before blossoming and 20 days after full bloom stage. Of the different growth regulators evaluated, Ethrel at 50 ppm recorded significantly the highest number of nuts per panicle at peanut and marble stage, nut weight and nut yield at the chosen locations and in pooled analysis.
