EFFECT OF GRADED LEVELS OF NITROGEN AND MICRONUTRIENT ENRICHED COMPOST ON CONTENT AND NUTRIENT UPTAKE BY AEROBIC RICE (ORYZA SATIVA L.)Kumara Naik, Shreenivas B.V., Raghavendra, Prakasha, H.C., Soumya Kulkarni and BheemannaAbstract A field experiment was conducted during Kharif 2011 at ZARS, V.C. Farm, Mandya, Karnataka, to study the effect of graded levels of nitrogen and micronutrient enriched compost on yield and nutrient uptake by aerobic rice (Oryza sativa L.). The experiment consists of seventeen treatments replicated thrice and laid out in RCBD. The results revealed that significantly higher contents and nutrients uptake viz., N, P, K, S, Zn and Fe in grain and straw were significantly higher in the treatments comprising of micronutrient enriched compost treatments as compared to non enrichment of micronutrients and control.
