THE ROLE OF VILLAGERS’ PARTICIPATION AND ORGANIZATIONS’ AND ADMINISTRATIONS’ COOPERATION IN THE PERFORMANCE OF LOCAL MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATIONS (CASE STUDY: RURAL MAYORS OF KOOHSORKH DISTRICT OF KASHMAR)

Abstract

Today, one of the most effective strategies for sustainable development in rural areas is the participation and empowerment of people and departments, especially villagers for the aim of rural areasÂ’ development and reclamation in all aspects. The main tool for achieving this goal is the establishment of organized nongovernmental organizations. In recent years, rural municipalities were formed as the management of nongovernmental and local institutions in the villages. The present research is applied in terms of the purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of the method used. Documentary and field methods were used to collect data. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. Information obtained was analyzed using SPSS and descriptive-analytical data. The statistical population included 28 rural mayors from villages of Koohsorkh district of Kashmar. The results showed that villagersÂ’ participation and cooperation of local administrations had a positive effect on the performance of local organizations and thereby improve the performance of the rural mayors.
