Abstract

In a study conducted during kharif 2009 at Instructional Farm, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur, 24 treatments (two plant population P1: 1,48,000 plants/ ha and P2: 2,22,000 plants/ ha and four genotypes: CSH 23, CSH 16, CSV 20 and CSV 23 in main plots and three fertility levels: 100% recommended fertilizer dose (RDF): 80 kg N, 40 kg P2O5 and 40 kg K2O/ ha; 150% RDF and 150% RDF + 5 t FYM/ha in sub plots) were tested in a split plot design with three replication. Results indicated that P1, CSH 16 and CSH 23 and 150% RDF and 150% RDF + 5 t FYM/ ha outperformed their respective counter treatments in grain yield. However, P2, CSV 20 and 150% RDF + 5t FYM/ ha recorded significantly higher dry stover yield than their respective counter treatments.
