PROBLEMS IN REIMBURSING ACTUAL DAMAGE IN CASES OF THEFT OF ELECTRICITY

Abstract

This article deals with the problems of compensation of pecuniary damage caused by the theft of electric energy in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This subject is analysed in the light of recent changes to the existing legislation, using specific example from the judicial practice. The necessity is displayed of changing the legal mechanism for collecting material damage by energy and network companies with the customers violated the regulatory acts requirements. On the basis of the research the author proposes specific changes to the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
