RESPONSE OF BIOFERTILIZERS AND ORGANIC MANURES ON GROWTH AND FLOWERING OF DAHLIA (DAHLIA VARIABILIS L.) CV. BLACKOUTHimanshu Trivedi, Parul Punetha, Chandra Shekhar and Neerja SinghAbstract The present investigation was carried out in the Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Science, Allahabad. The experiment was laid out in simple Randomised Block Design. There were 9 treatments which replicated thrice. Farmyard manure and vermicompost were taken as organic manure and Azotobacter, Azospirillum and PSB as biofertilizer. Observations were recorded on vegetative growth, flowering and weight of tuberous root. Out of the nine treatment, T7 (VC @ 2.5t ha- 1+ Azotobacter @ 2.0 kg ha-1+PSB @ 2.0 kg ha-1) was found significant which recorded plant height (60.55cm) plant spread (38.22cm), Number of leaves (32.77), Number of primary branches (4.22), day to first bud appearance (43.55), weight of single flower (38.88 g), flower size (15.87cm), flowering duration (9.89).
