EVALUATION OF GENETIC DIVERSITY AMONG FOUR SINGLEPETAL POLIANTHES TUBEROSA GENOTYPES USING RAPD MARKERSJadhav, P. R., Hasabnis, S. N., Katwate, S. M., Naik, R.M. and Gurav, S.B.Abstract Genetic diversity evaluation among four Polianthes tuberosa genotypes comprising of only single-petal types was determined using RAPD technique. A total of 32 RAPD primers produced 263 bands, 173 (65.77%) of which were polymorphic and 90 (34.22%) monomorphic. Molecular analysis of four genotypes based on the UPGMA method assigned the genotypes in two main groups. Hence, RAPD analysis was found to be a valuable diagnostic tool to evaluate genetic diversity of P. tuberosa genotypes used in the study.
