Abstract

This paper reviews technological impact of improved agricultural technology on yield. Impact analysis using production function approach (decomposition model) using Solow definition of technological change was studied. Studies related to Plant breeding, Agril. Engineering, Watershed development, Bio-technology, Irrigation management, Agronomy and Horticulture were re-examined. From the above results it is concluded that, technology has played vital role in increasing output in agriculture sector. It has increased the efficiency of various scare inputs, i.e. labour, capital, seed, inorganic nutrient etc. which facilitated us to reduce the use these inputs and increased the yield level with existing level of inputs use.
