THE MINERAL EFFECTS OF SEDIMENTARY LAYERS ON GROUNDWATER OF HIMMATNAGAR, SABARKANTHA OF GUJARATP.B. VYAS, M.P. TAMBE AND J.N. KHATRIAbstract This paper attempts to determine ground water quality in a town. The colour indices ranged from 3.5 to 5.3 mg/L with average turbidity 2.3. The result showed that the ground water was acidic, pH range of 4.32 to 4.43. There is need to treat the water. The highest recorded value of 50 mg/L for hardness is indicative of soft ground water.
