Abstract

To investigate the effects of liquid and carrier based biofertilizers on soybean (Glycine max [L.] Merr.CV. Williams) yield, a factorial experiment was conducted based on Randomized complete block design 3 replications at college farm, College of Agriculture, ANGRAU, Hyderabad. Different treatments of carrier and liquid based biofertilizers as seed treatment, soil application and soil application with FYM were imposed. Biofertilizers used are Bradyrhizobium and Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB). Parameters observed are seeds per pod, test weight, seed yield per plant and seed yield per hectare. Treatment with 75 % RDF + liquid based biofertilizers soil application had more, seeds per pod, test weight and seed yield per hectare. LBF are considered as best alternative for the conventional carrier based biofertilizers in the modern agriculture which help in the enhanced crop yields, regaining soil health and sustainable global food production.
