Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during kharif season 2011 at KVK farm, CCSHAU, Sirsa to study the productivity and profitability of bt cotton as influenced by different doses of nitrogen and phosphorus under irrigated conditions. Significantly higher seed cotton yield was obtained with 100% RD of nitrogen and phosphorus over 75% RD of each nutrient. The highest net returns and B:C ratio were obtained with the application of 125% RD phosphorus followed by 100% RD of phosphorus. Similarly, the highest net returns and B:C ratio were obtained with 125% RD of nitrogen followed by 150% RD of nitrogen.
