The precipitation level has been found to be decreasing during recent years in Iran especially in southern provinces, their climatologic and meteorological evaluation is of considerable interest. Considering Khouzestan Province as one of strategic regions in Iran investigation on drought and wet is of a great deal of importance. Various parameters are considered to study drought in the world. In this work, a period of 30 years from 1985-2014 has been selected to evaluate the drought and wet of Khouzestan Province using the standard precipitation index. To this, 8 synoptic stations have been selected that are located at Omidiyeh, Ahwaz, Bostan, Bandare Mahshahr, Dezful, Ramhormoz, Safi Abad, and Masjed Soleiman. Also, the drought of higher intensity has been reported in Dezful, Omidiyeh, and Ramhormoz. The longest drought period has reported at 2009-2013 in Omidiyeh.
