Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Studies of Integrated Nutrient Management on vegetative, flowering and yield attributes of Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Duch) cv. Chandler” was carried out at the Govind Nagar Farm, Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad (U.P.) India during 2013-14, in Randomized Block Design with eight treatments T1-FYM @ 20 t/ha (control), T2- NPK Recommended dose of fertilizer (100:80:60 kg/ha), T3- Vermicompost @ 5 t/ha, T4 - Poultry manure@ 5 t/ ha, T5-Neem cake @ 3 t/ha, T6-Vermicompost @ 2.5 t/ha + half dose of NPK, T7- Poultry manure @ 2.5 t / ha + half dose NPK and T8- Neem cake @ 1.5t/ha + half dose NPK and replicated three times, considering five plant as a unit. Healthy uniform and disease free plants produce through tissue culture were selected. The observations were recorded for vegetative, flowering and yield attributing characters of strawberry. The maximum plant height, number of leaves per plant, days taken to first flowering, number of flower per plant, number of fruit per plant, duration of harvesting and yield per plant were recorded with the application of Vermi-compost @ 2.5 t/ha + half dose (recommended dose) of NPK followed by Poultry manure @ 2.5 t/ ha + half dose NPK (recommended dose) whereas the lowest result was recorded by the application only FYM @ 20 t/ha.
