EFFECT OF ORGANIC AND INORGANIC FERTILIZERS ON HERBAGE YIELD AND ECONOMICS OF MAKOI (SOLANUM NIGRUM L.) UNDER HILL ZONE OF KARNATAKA

Abstract

An investigation was carried out to study Effect of organic manures and inorganic fertilizers on growth and herbage yield of Makoi Under hill zone of Karnataka during 2013-2014 at Agricultural and Horticulture Research Station, Thirthahalli, University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shimoga. During September 2013 to January 2014. Application of Vermicompost (1t/ ha) + 100 % RD NPK ha-1 was found beneficial for getting higher yield, maximum profit and cost benefit ratio under hill zone of Karnataka.
